21 BETTA BUNKHOUSE

How to build a small Betta Bunkhouse
By J.R. (Bob) Baker
With thanks to Lucky for the orignal idea

Start with a few Sun Tea jars (1 gallon)

Remove the pour spouts

For each Bunk, You will need
a cap, a Tee, and 2 pices of 1/2" CPVC pipe 2.5" long

Assemble as shown. the 1/2" CPVC pipe fits in the bushing w/o silicone.
The Cap is needed to keep my bettas from entering the pipe, but
don't forget to drill a few small holes in the cap to let water in & out.

When you have one ready, assemble groups of 3.

At the end you will need a valve and a barb 1/2" tubing fitting

Keep adding bunks untill your shelves are full. I got 21 on this 6' shelf unit.

I run the 1/2" tubing to my drain but you can use a flower bed
Open the valve and all 21 jars drain down to 2" and stop.
Then hook up the tubing to a small submersable pump in my aged water barrel
And fill all 21 jars with new water in a few minutes.

As my father-in-law (Robert French) would say
"Sometimes I'm so smart I scare myself !"
